F1 GP Saudi Arabia 2025: McLaren surprises in Free Practice 2, Sainz shines, and Alonso falls behind

In the second free practice session (FP2) of the 2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, held on the Jeddah street circuit, Lando Norris (McLaren) led the timesheets, followed by his teammate Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen (Red Bull).

Performance of the Spanish drivers:

Carlos Sainz achieved a solid fifth place, standing out as the best of the rest after the leaders. His performance with the Williams FW47, which is well-suited to the fast Jeddah circuit, has generated optimism for his team after a difficult season.

Fernando Alonso, on the other hand, finished in 15th place, highlighting the difficulties Aston Martin faces at this track, especially against its Saudi partners.
