The alert level is "yellow" (*dzeltenais brīdinājums*). The official message to residents was clear: "Possible threat in the airspace of Krāslava municipality. Be prepared." No extra action is required for now. If the situation changes, a cell-broadcast will go out with instructions. The NBS stated that it and NATO allies continuously monitor the airspace and have reinforced air defenses along the eastern border with additional units. While Russia’s war against Ukraine continues, it said, foreign drones can again approach or enter Latvian airspace.

Krāslava sits in Latgale, the strip of Latvia that has lived under this routine for months. Alerts have gone out in Alūksne, Balvi, Ludza and Rēzekne. The flights are preventive, not a declaration that a Russian aircraft has entered Poland. The General Staff dates the 45% tally from that Moscow strike.

Kyiv says one result is a shortage of quality fuel inside Russia and a sharp fall in Euro-5/K5 gasoline and diesel output. Independent reporting has partly corroborated the operational picture: industry sources told Reuters that Syzran halted processing after the mid-September attack, with CDU-6/AVT-6 — about 71% of that plant — damaged and repairs estimated at least a month; Saratov was already down. Reuters sources also said the Moscow refinery stopped production after 20 September, with main crude units hit. The 45% figure itself is a Ukrainian military assessment of cumulative design capacity, not an independently audited industry census. Earlier in the summer, the IEA and Reuters-cited sources put offline capacity in a lower band, around one-third to 40%.

The campaign is intended to squeeze Russia’s war economy and domestic fuel market. Moscow has already restricted gasoline, diesel and jet-fuel exports at various points this year. This is not an isolated statement from the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but rather a verbal offensive by several members of the government. In August, Justice Minister Abdellatif Ouahbi claimed Morocco's "historical and geographical rights" and a "space for dialogue" for the "return to the homeland." “Spain will be a ruined country, and I’ve had my own problems with Spain because they don’t behave very well with respect to NATO.
