Iran threatens to retaliate with full force if attacked by US or Israel

Tensions in the Middle East have reached new heights following strong statements by Iran’s Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh, who promised an immediate and global response if the United States or Israel launch any type of attack against Iranian territory.

The threat was made on the same day that a missile launched by the Tehran-backed Houthi group fell near Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport — a highly sensitive target. The Yemen-based Houthi group said the strikes were in solidarity with the Palestinian population in Gaza. Nasirzadeh told Iranian state TV that “if this war is started by the US or the Zionist regime, Iran will strike at their interests, bases and forces – wherever they are and whenever it is deemed necessary.” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed revenge against Iran, directly accusing the regime of being behind the Houthi attack. “Israel will respond to the Houthi attack on our main airport and, at a time and place of our choosing, to their Iranian terrorist masters,” he said on his X (formerly Twitter) account. Meanwhile, the United States has yet to issue a formal response, but Pentagon sources confirmed that US bases in the region have been placed on high alert. International analysts warn that the situation could quickly deteriorate into a full-scale regional conflict, with the potential to involve other allied countries on both sides.
