Two people have died in two traffic accidents at the same point on the A-4 in Valdemoro
Two people have died in traffic accidents that occurred at the same point on the A-4 in Valdemoro a few hours apart. Authorities are investigating the causes.
The road is closed in the outbound direction causing heavy traffic jams.
ValdemoroTwo different traffic accidents at the same point on the A-4 (kilometre 26, exit direction from Madrid, near Valdemoro) have left two dead and several injured, in addition to the closure of that road and heavy traffic jams since early Tuesday morning.
The first of the incidents occurred at around 01:30 in the morning when a car went off the road, causing the first of the deaths: a 38-year-old man “who was thrown from his vehicle”. The Civil Guard is in charge of the investigations and also of determining whether this incident is related to the other one that occurred at around 04:00 in the morning at the same point.
In this case, five vehicles were involved: three cars and two trucks.
The driver of one of the cars (a 61-year-old man) died from “multiple trauma” and the firefighters had to “extricate the body that had been trapped”.
The driver of one of the trucks (a 47-year-old man with a back trauma, taken to Doce de Octubre) and the driver of another of the cars involved, a 35-year-old woman, were slightly injured with cervical pain at Valdemoro Hospital.
