Ottawa, March 5 – In response to recent trade tensions between Canada and the United States, several Canadian stores have begun pulling American whiskeys, including iconic brands such as Jack Daniel’s, from shelves.

The move was driven by consumers and retailers who see US trade policy as damaging to Canada. The decision comes after the US government announced new tariffs on Canadian products, sparking a strong reaction in the country.

“Our customers are asking for domestic or foreign alternatives. There is a feeling of discontent with the US stance,” said a shopkeeper in Toronto.

On social media, the hashtag #BoycottJackDaniels has been gaining momentum, with many Canadians encouraging the consumption of local drinks. In addition, some establishments have replaced American products with Scottish and Japanese labels.

The Canadian government has not yet commented on the popular boycott, but analysts point out that this attitude reflects a growing feeling of dissatisfaction with the trade policies imposed by Washington.
