The Lehendakari warns that Tuesday "will not be a normal day" after the blackout in the Basque Country
Lehendakari Pradales calls for "calm, responsibility, and prudence" after the blackout in the Basque Country, where 96% of the electricity supply has already been restored.

The Lehendakari of the Basque Country, Imanol Pradales, issued a message to the public tonight warning that "Tuesday will not be a normal day" following the serious blackout that affected the entire country.
Although by 10:00 p.m. 96% of electricity in the Basque Country had been restored, Pradales issued an urgent call for "calm, responsibility, and prudence," noting that the secondary effects of the energy collapse could linger for the next few hours.
"We are returning to normal at a good pace, but it is essential to act with caution," the Lehendakari stated in a public appearance.
Among the recommended measures, citizens are asked to limit unnecessary travel, save energy, and follow the instructions of local authorities. School classes, administrative services, and some industrial activity will be affected throughout Tuesday.
The Basque Government activated a crisis committee from the beginning of the blackout, which continues to monitor the evolution of the electricity grid, in coordination with the central government and energy operators.
The investigation into the causes of the blackout is ongoing, while technicians point to a massive loss of generation in the system that affected the entire peninsula.
