Mohammed Bin Salman vows to root out Islamic extremism in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, March 5 – Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman has reaffirmed his commitment to root out Islamic extremism in the country with strong measures. In a speech delivered during a conference in Riyadh, the Saudi leader declared:
"We will not wait 30 years to wipe out extremist ideas. We will destroy them today."
Bin Salman's words reinforce the Saudi government's stance to modernize the country and reduce the influence of radical Islam in society. In recent years, Saudi Arabia has pushed for reforms to restrict the spread of extremist ideologies, limiting the role of the religious police, promoting a more moderate view of Islam and encouraging cultural and economic openness.
