Spain is facing a massive blackout that has led citizens to desperately search for ways to survive and obtain essential resources.
Daily life in Spain has changed drastically in a matter of hours following the massive blackout affecting much of the country. With power grids down and communications crippled in several regions, citizens have gone into survival mode, unleashing a wave of emergency shopping and improvised measures to ensure their safety.
Since early this morning, long lines have formed at supermarkets, hardware stores, and gas stations, as families seek to stock up on non-perishable food, batteries, drinking water, and fuel. Generators have become such a coveted commodity that, in many cities, it is now nearly impossible to find one available.

"We are experiencing an unprecedented situation. It's like going back in time, but we are unprepared for it," said a citizen in Valencia while gathering flashlights and candles.
